How we use your information

The Sutton Benger Parish Neighbourhood Development Plan Core Group is registered as a ‘data controller’ under the Data Protection Act 1998. We take our data protection responsibilities seriously and this notice explains how we use, store, disclose and transfer personal information.

Why do we collect and keep personal information?

We use personal information to analyse and develop evidence to help us to develop the policies that will form part of the Neighbourhood Development Plan. We will also use your personal information to keep you informed about the progress of the Neighbourhood Development Plan itself.

Storage of your information

Transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted to the Sutton Benger Parish NDP website, by email, or by social media. Any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use appropriate procedures to prevent unauthorised access.

Disclosure of your information

We will not share, sell or distribute any of the information you provide to us without your consent, except where disclosure is required by law.

Authorised persons within the NDP Core and Volunteer Groups will be able to access the information you provide to us. We may also disclose your information to other third parties who act for us for the purposes of developing the Neighbourhood Development Plan. Where necessary or required, we may share your information with authorised persons at Sutton Benger Parish Council, Wiltshire Council, or Central Government.

Transfers

It may sometimes be necessary to transfer personal information overseas. When this is needed information is only shared within the European Economic Area (EEA). Any transfers made will be in full compliance with all aspects of the Data Protection Act.
