Welcome to Sutton Benger and Draycot Cerne’s NDP website.
The Localism Act 2011 introduced statutory Neighbourhood Planning in England. It enables communities like Sutton Benger and Draycot Cerne to draw up a Neighbourhood Plan for their area and it is intended to give communities more of a say in the future development.
Once approved, our NDP plan will be used to decide the future of our Parish. It gives us a say on many important aspects of our community’s future including:
- Where we want new homes, shops, offices and leisure facilities to be built
- What new buildings should look like
- Where we think planning permission should be granted for new buildings
This is an exciting time for the Parish of Sutton Benger as localism is all about empowering local residents, employers and other stakeholders to decide themselves where new homes and employment should go.
